Good questions. Here are my honest answers.
Booking & payment
The easiest way is to call or WhatsApp me directly on 07748 807787 — I can answer your questions straight away and get everything confirmed there and then. If you'd prefer to send a message first, just use the contact form and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance isn't due until after you've arrived and you're happy that everything is to your liking — because that's the way it should be. Payment methods will be confirmed with you at the time of booking.
I understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel, you'll receive a full refund provided you let me know at least 7 days before your arrival date.
During July and August I ask for a minimum of 3 nights. During May, June, September, October and the winter months, the minimum is 2 nights.
Single occupancy rates are available during the winter months, or for stays of 5 nights or more — ideal for anyone working remotely or walking the coast path at their own pace. Just mention it when you get in touch and I'll sort out the best rate for you.
Whole-house bookings are considered and I'd love to hear from you if you're planning a family gathering or special trip. Discounts may be available depending on the time of year and length of stay. Hen and stag parties are also considered — just get in touch with me directly for a chat.
Futurity opens in October 2026 and is open all year round, though there may be the occasional week of closure. Keep an eye on the website for advance notice of any planned closures. Advance bookings are now open — just get in touch.
Arrival & check-in
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 11.30am.
No need to wait at the door — your room is accessed via a dedicated key safe mounted outside the property. I'll send your personal code directly to your phone by 10am on the day of arrival.
You're welcome to park at Futurity if there's space, or leave your bags in our secure storage shed at the rear of the property — it's clearly signed and easy to find. Please note that luggage stored prior to check-in is left at your own risk.
Yes — every room has its own dedicated free parking space right outside the property. No hunting for town parking.
The rooms
Every room at Futurity includes an orthopaedic mattress, air conditioning and heating, Smart TV, mini fridge, private en suite, wardrobe and storage, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, quality toiletries (hand wash, shower gel and shampoo), and bottled water replenished daily. Free fast Wi-Fi and laundry access are available throughout the property. There's also a desk and chair in every room for anyone working remotely.
Yes — all three rooms are on the ground floor, and shared spaces include a dining and kitchen area, a small TV lounge, and a hallway with storage for walking boots and coats. The enclosed garden is also shared and dogs are welcome there.
Yes — a washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the kitchen area for all guests to use. Please take your clothes back to your room once dried.
Yes — fast and reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property, provided by BT. Smart TVs also support streaming apps including Netflix, so you can log in to your own accounts.
Breakfast & food
Always. Every stay includes my self-serve breakfast, available any time of day or night — no rigid sittings, no set time. Help yourself to coffees (Italian, caramel, double chocolate, and a caffeine-free option), Yorkshire tea, cereals, porridge pots, yoghurts, fresh seasonal fruit, cheese, chilled fruit juice, and bread freshly sourced from a local bakery each day.
Gluten-free bread can be arranged with a minimum of 7 days' notice — just let me know when you book. If you have other dietary needs, get in touch and I'll do my best to help.
I don't serve evening meals, but you're very well placed for options. Quay West across the road has a full menu from burgers to steaks, fish and chips, and Papa John's pizza. New Quay's pubs, cafés and restaurants are a short walk downhill, and Aberaeron — fifteen minutes up the coast — has a lovely dining scene including Y Celer, which comes highly recommended. I put together a personal favourites guide for every room too.
Dogs
Please do. One dog stays completely free in any of my three rooms. Each bedroom comes with a dedicated dog towel, a medium dog bed, and a bag of treats waiting on arrival. Dogs are welcome in bedrooms and the enclosed garden.
Give me a call or WhatsApp before you book and I'll do my best to make it work.
All three rooms welcome dogs, but Maddy's Room is the natural choice — it's the largest room, on the ground floor with direct access to the enclosed garden, so early morning trips outside don't disturb a soul.
New Quay's beaches are wonderfully dog-friendly, and the coastal path is a fantastic walk for dogs and owners alike. I'll include local beach and walking information in the guide in your room.
Children & families
Children of all ages are welcome at Futurity. Maddy's Room is ideal for families, with a double bed and two singles.
Yes — just let me know at least 30 days before your arrival and I'll have one ready for you.
House policies
Futurity is non-smoking indoors. Smokers are welcome to use the designated area at the rear of the south-facing garden, or the area at the front near the car park — ash trays are provided at both. Vaping is permitted in bedrooms and the garden, but not in shared indoor spaces such as the kitchen, dining area or TV lounge.
The best way to reach me is by phone or WhatsApp on 07748 807787. I'm available most of the time and prefer a quick call over email — it's faster and means nothing gets missed. I should mention I'm an early riser (often a very early riser), so don't be surprised if you get a message at an unusual hour — I'd recommend muting my number overnight!
